The dream of the fisherman's wife

or, today I bring you Octopus P_orn.

Taken from the highly entertaining show of smut erotic art at the Barbican. Thanks to Bad Sarah for bringing it to my attention.

And can I just say - Robert Mapplethorpe - ouch, ouch, ouch!

I wish you could have seen how hard I was laughing at the exhibition. You have to have a sense of humor - I mean come on! (no pun intended there). Anyhow - people were sort of looking at me like "rude girl". So funny.

I had a coughing fit in the Kinsey film and people were giving me dirty looks, like 'you are disturbing us while we are appreciating the art.' It was funny.

What's that in her mouth?

Alda I think that is an octopus too - a baby octopus that is kind of the sidekick of the big fella. Ahh HAA - I have to laugh all over again. Oh my god.

Well, I think we all know which Bond film took inspiration from that.

I can't imagine an Octopus's beak would be particularly comfortable down there...

I once got lots of paddington bear hard stares in the Tate modern for laughing at a sculpture of a nob wired up to a brain. It's meant to be funny. No... It isn't. It's art! :D

Nobs! :D
