I don't like the winter! But to put up with it, Soldier is right! Nothing like a roaring pub fire after a walk in the cold! Or just staying an extra hour in bed!
Christmas! Bah humbug! Other than Wyndham, and Greavsie (when do we get proper snow Greavsie? not since 1943 or something) I sense a theme developing here, and it revolves around alcohol.
But you can drink in the summertime too!
I like the extra time by the fire/in bed too, alone or accompanied, but this is the point - we have to get *out* of bed, when we should be hibernating. It's all wrong.
Snowboarding, hmmm. I was reading about all-women snow-boarding holidays in the paper recently, where one can fall over and make a fool of oneself with no men around to laugh and point. Maybe next year...
Hey! Why on Earth must we guys make fools of ourselves snowboarding in front of everybody and some chicks get to do it alone? Oh, wait a sec, we don't actually make fools of ourselves... :P
I've just visited that rudegirls site. Pityful, to say the least. How can anyone be that sexist and discriminatory and yet complain about sexism from us guys? This girls with girls boys with boys menthality is fun on six year olds, after that both guys and gals are supposed to grow.
Anxious, everyone is taunting me with the snuggling. Might buy a hot water bottle.
Go on GG, rub it in...
Whoa, what happened to mild-mannered Dcver? I checked that site and couldn't see what had so offended you - the only thing they said was that it can be macho, but did I miss something?
LOL It didn't offend me, it is just plain nonsense. It's the girlie girl no boys allowed menthality, it's silly and it is not a way to be respected. Let me put it on different terms: I can't imagine any of my friends going along with that, in particular the ones who board or ski. They each have their own level, same as us guys, some of them are better than some of us guys, some are worst, we all learn with the others, that is that.
I think the point of it, is that a lot of girls go boarding and get taught by their boyfriends who are rubbish teachers and their is a big experiance gap. I don't think this so much a "boys not allowed thing" as just a opening in the market and a good way to expand the sport to an area where many girls get put off because guys aren't always the best teacher.
It's only an odd week here and there and seems to be doing well so obviously people are interested in it. I don't see why it's a bad thing, and probably a nice thing for a group of girls to do as a week away.
Took the words out of my mouth, Adrian. Dcver, in the interests of equality, there is also a Rude Boys. ;-) Though I like the sound of your group of friends all going together too.

Christmas!
Walking into a nice warm pub after being out in the cold crisp air and having a decent pint.

Drinking good (Irish) Whiskey in front of a fire. :)
Or good quality Brandy if you prefer.
Curling by the fireplace together with someone we love.
Christmas is not a good point of winter.
However snowboarding is.
And is snuggeling up under the covers with a lady.
At least I can go snowboarding.

Yeah I saw that. Rudegirls. You get a t-shirt and knickers as part of the deal.
My only question is how I can get on the girls only snow boarding holiday....
Bargain!
Maybe in drag, like in "Some Like It Hot". Let me know if you need a hand with your outfit.

Adrian - spoilsport.

Sometimes girls really, truly just wanna have fun without guys around. We can talk, giggle, be as silly as we want to be, leaving our fellers at home.
