Finding a copy of Arkham Asylum (that you desperately wanted as a teenager) for £1.50 in a junk shop.
Not buying it, because you're not a teenager anymore.
(I still ♥ Dave Mckean though.)
Is age creeping up on you? What signs have you noticed?

You didn't buy it?
This. from the woman who bought two packs of self adhesive googly eyes not so long back?
Shame on you.
Shame. On. You!
Er...
You should have bought it.
oh blimey. You can't get away with anything around here...
:D
Being grown up is cack! Buy the comic. Enjoy the comic. Stick it on ebay for £2. :)
By the way... No, no you can't get away with anything. *rolls googly eyes at you*
You totally should have bought it.
I've noticed lots of signs of age creeping up on me (grey hair and the like), but no signs of maturity, as yet.
Corin has a copy of that I think.
The only sign of (old) age: Forgetfulness.
I've forgotten to visit your blog for so long. Sorry.
Not "creeping up" so much as sliding down.
Realising that people born in the 1980's are themselves now adults
That i have known you for 22 years and other for 30 years - gulp!
A conversation i had with a friend's younger boyfriend:
me: you look like Joey Ramone
boy: who?
me: sigh.
That hangovers are becoming unbearable and that i had become a "shusher" in my recent spanish class, i'm sure there were rude faces made behind my back because that's right in my advanced years i sit in the front row!
Which junk shop?? Which junk shop??!
At work I only work with punters 18 and over. A lot fo people coming to see me now were born in 1989. NINETEEN EIGHTY-NINE. I was born in 82 but it still seems wrong. When I get someone spawned in 1990 I'm probably going to have a breakdown. The hangovers are getting too much for me now, I'd much rather go out for a nice meal and some wine than get to the pub and 5:05 and see how many different kinds of vodka I can try until I fall over. But I still fel bad about that sometimes.
a lot "of" people
"at" 5:05.
"feel" bad.
Look, it's early in the morning alright?
Hey Cream! *waves*
Arabella, I know the feeling.
Em, 22 years! Here's to the next 22...
Violet, sorry hon, it was in Brighton , a good junk shop in the street next to the Brighton Pavilion, but I suspect it will be gone by the time you visit.
You should have bought it. It's still one of my favourites. Beyond stunning.
I'll lend it to you again if you want a re-read.
I was telling somebody recently about a friend's older brother who got sent to fight in the Falkland's War, and she said to me in all sincerity: "Falkland's war? What was that then?"
