Yes, he's Swedish. In Sweden people lick each other's faces as a mark of respect and admiration.
Lovely stuff. I heard it's actually Norwegians who lick faces though, in Sweden it's terribly disrespectful.

Emordino, you are not the first to make that error. Swedes lick faces (three times. Left cheek, right cheek, left cheek). Norwegians foreheads. Danes chins.
