Evil, pernicious earworm

S*h*a*n*i*a T*w*a*i*n - Still the one. It makes me ashamed, it feels wrong and dirty, it's saccharine, cheesy, nauseating - but I've been waking up with it in my head every morning, so much so that I had to download it. And now I'm going to contaminate you with it. Be warned, it will enter via the ear, burrow into your cerebral cortex and make itself at home. Go on, click if you dare.

Did you know our Shania is Canadian? Windsor, Ontario if you must know. Emma likes this one, I prefer 'Whose Bed have your Boots been under?'.

I don't know this one. I am not going to look for it either! Phew.

You FOOLS!! Don't do it! Oh god - oh god! Why can't people mention Lenoard Cohen, Joni Mitchell, Nelly Furtado are Canadian! CURVE - we do not want to be associated with Shania OR Celine Dion. NEVER. Even Bryan Adams is walking a thin Canadian line. Shania actually resides in Switzerland so she doesn't count.
Bad Sarah

ps) Emma - "whose boots" is quite good though.

I'll pass. Hectic as my music choices may be they don't include Shania.

Aren't Michael J. Fox and Donald Sutherland vaguely Canadian too? Or perhaps even completely. Thankfully, youtube was on the go-slow but I'm currently waiting for That Don't Impress Me Much, which always invites a smile, to download.

PS the Curve - tried to comment on your post, did you get it?

no, sorry Annie, I think I may have accidentally turned on some sort of thought-police style Blogger comment moderating thingy in an attempt to more grammatically unsound spam comments. I think I have now fixed. Go back and try again (please!!!).

There are no words...

But my big up for Canadamusic is rockers Billy Talent, who are very lovely.

I have Deicide's "The Stench of Redemption" as an earworm. A death metal earworm - can that be possible? Alas, yes.

Apparently so. Though due to a little-known bit of Canadian legislation (the Citizenship Act) between 1947 and 1977, if they were outside of Canada on their 24th birthday and they failed to complete a necessary form they aren't Canadian.

Passport applicants find they're not Canadian

EVERYONE, OVER TO THE CURVE'S BLOG - HE HAS POSTED AGAIN! (About how he doesn't like live music so much - go and persuade him otherwise.)

Del, I will check Billy Talent out.

Llewtrah, only you... and if they aren't Canadian, what are they?

Do you know what - I don't even have to download it as I know EXACTLY which song you are talking about. Damn - that's insomnia for me tonight!
