It snew

When I opened the front door this morning, two men were chucking snowballs at each other in the street outside. When they saw me looking they both had big beaming smiles of excitement like kids, it was unbelievably cute, especially when I got to work and my 5 & 6 year olds were chucking snowballs at each other with exactly the same big grins all over their faces.

(Scandinavian visitors are probably wondering what all the fuss is about, but for London this is a fair amount of snow.)

I expect someone spent most of the night rocking back and forth in a foetal position whispering, "I wish it would snow! I wish it would snow!" over and over.

That's what usually causes snow.

Well, I think we don't have that much snow yet. Bloody climate change.

Billy - ah. I will pass this info onto the kids, along with the answer to 'what is snow?' that I failed to answer adequately this morning.

Shyha - okay, okay, I know you have proper snow too. Show-off.

Llewtrah, ha! That just about sums it up.

Taiga - we have your snow. Do you want it back?

Hmm, we barely got enough here to last till mid morning never mind make a snowball.

On the other hand Chamonix where I am going next week has 2 meters. And it's -53 with the wind chill.

Unfortunately... seems like Americans took almost all our snow... though they gave us back some recently... ;) They've just mistargeted a small lot :D

Billy, did you spend most of last night rocking back and forth in a foetal position whispering, "I wish it would snow! I wish it would snow!" over and over?

Hah! it's your fault!

Adrian, you masochist.

Shyha, not content with the oil and the money, they are now after the snow...

Llewtrah, yes it is... tell him to reverse it immediately.

Annie,

We had snow in Manchester too. Many Christians believing it to be a sign began meeting on street corners singing praise to the Lord and no fostering for sodomites. Fortunately like the snow they too quickly melted, honest, literally melted away. Piles and piles of clothing across the city were then collected by good folk (a few sodomites amongst them too I'll warrant) dry cleaned and given to the poor. A heartwarming tale, I think you'll find.
