Great cartoon!

Perhaps it all comes down to the quality of the writing produced? If a complete bastard produces a wonderful and inspiring work of fiction, does it matter what his/her personal life is like? Or would that imply one rule for great writers (because they are "artistic"), and one rule for the rest of us?

As with so much else in life, I'm not sure what I believe.

Yup, that's what I wonder too Marsha.

I guess talent is just attractive, whatever form it takes - it's like the man-on-a-stage syndrome, whether it's acting, standup, rock music - people want to get next to the man on the stage (and the woman too.)

But why do we want to get next to the talent? Because someone does something that you admire, does it follow they'd make a good partner in any way? Shouldn't we stick with the kind, regular, faithful no-talent normal people instead? This cartoon really summed that up for me...
