Proudest hair moment: Bleach blonde mohican when I was a teenager. I rocked.

I was a teenage Psychobilly! :D

Big Bleached blonde quiff going into a Mohican at the back. I looked great! ;)

My usually brown-grey hair is currently auburn (semi-perm. tint, stylist applied). No-one has made suggestive comments about the origin of my children's hair colour since I had it done!
Not sure if I'll repeat it though, although I do like not being grey.

I used to do the side-ponytail thing in my teens, except it was so tight it looked more like a handle than a hairdo. Yours looks much more elegant, judging by the drawing.

Hey, LC and Rad could've been in a band. Like the Police, with Mohicans.

Missed you there, Marsha. I love auburn. Henna was another teenage folly... Oh, the palaver of mixing up that mud stuff and sticking it on your head! How everything in the bathroom would be stained orange afterwards... Praise be for professional hairdressers and being able to afford them, hey?

I use henna and indigo for my hair condition (you have to get good stuff otherwise it's full of dodgy metal salts which are disastrous) but only because my hair is so dark that it can't really go orange.
Proudest hair moment is now because it's actually longer than ever (and I want it loooong) but I did once have a Beth Orton/Richey Manic gamine crop with flamingo pink streaks. And that was good, if high maintenance (I know all about the bleaching brunette hair thing too – actually I'm still growing out some yicky highlights that were done by a stylist. She got the same colour as I attained at home in my bathroom... Piss yellow. At least the henna and indigo have covered a lot of that though).
Currently wearing giant messy chignon and attempting a small beehive for this evening. Very small.

Proudest moment at 13 - my too long fringe flicked into wings at each side in EXACTLY the same manner as Crystal Carrington in Dynasty(only brown, not blond). Also attempting a homemade perm by plating wet hair and leaving overnight achieved a very convincing David St Hubbins from Spinal Tap look(again brown rather than his blond). Some dodgy DIY moments involving henna and scissors. I still harbour a fear of hairdressers.

Didn't Phil Oakey from Human League have the 'Hoxton Twat' 25 years ago?
You're going all retro on us, aren't you Annie?
HNY!

Oh, I used to love the smell of henna, and the strange muddy consistency of the stuff.

I think I ought to write a five hundred page history of the problems I've had with my hair, then I might be able to reach some sort of closure and move on with my life. Perhaps I should get a wig instead?

Happy Noo Year!

I shaved my head halfway through Uni and liked having no hair. So persisted with it up until a few years ago, when I let it grow. I like it most the way it is now. Now I even blowdry it, which helps combat some of the frizziness.

My very best hair moment was looking in a mirror at the Hairdressers, and somehow she had made me look like Kurt Cobain at his prettiest. But soon the curl came back in and I was back to me again.

Bright orange (Ronald McDonald) when I used henna on bleached hair! Or there was my bicolour period with (natural) red hair except for the back, which was bleached white. Both were pretty startling, especially at work.
