I thought this was an elaborate gag, but have now googled and wikied endlessly and it all seems to be for real. I even though Mr. Jansen's Dutch accent was fake. But no. How bonkers. Do you think they'd make nice pets?

Oh thank goodness. I thought from the intro it was going to someone going on about how aaawwwssuuummm Burning Man is.
Those creatures are downright peculiar and fascinating. Monterey Aquarium makes a great day out anyway - this on the beach would be fab.
BiB, aren't they great? I love it that someone would think this up and make it work. The dogs have been quieter of late, but recently I've heard crying - ie, I think he's bought a new puppy...
I love aquariums, Arabella. The TED talks are all based in Monterey I think - check out that clip for other ones, they're all fascinating, clever people talking about interesting stuff.
