Song of the week

Working my way through the northern boy's gazillion music files on itunes, he certainly has eclectic taste. Very very eclectic.

Favourite song title I've come across so far is a number by Loretta Lynn and Conway Twitty, called "You're The Reason Our Kids Are Ugly." They just don't make song titles like they used to.

Reminds me of one of the Sheriff's lines in Smokey and the Bandit:

"There's no way, no WAY that you came from my loins. Soon as I get home, the first thing I'm gonna do is punch your momma in the mouth."

I like the line in King Creole and the Coconuts song 'Annie' where he dismisses her claim to be his daughter by singing "Cos if I were in your blood then you wouldn't be so ugly." Always makes me laugh especially because it's delivered as a denouement.

I love it, Viking. Natalie, thought you might like that.

Dan, though I like this song a lot it's not so funny when people sing it at you throughout your school days. Along with Michael Jackson's Smooth Criminal.

"Cos if I was in your blood then you wouldn't be so ugly. Dum da da da da de da..."

Heh heh heh.

GG, I guess you are referring to "They Were Always Together on the Road to Bring about the People's Well-being" and "Great Leadership over the Drive to Successfully Build a Great Prosperous Powerful Nation"

Catchy, hey?
