Ticket to ride

Hooray hooray hooray! Kind of sweetened the fact that the council tax bill arrived in the same post.

That's weird, half the people I know are going to New York in the next month or three.

I'm not though (sniffle...).

Aw Matt. Never mind, I'm sure you'll get there. C'mon, you're Irish, it's practically your duty to go.

G - guess what, my love. There's a ticket in there just for you! ;-)

Yep, that'll be me soon too.

I would like to try NY one day! But then, one day wouldn't be enough!

I must be the only travelling Guyanese who's never been to New York. I wonder if I should venture forth...somehow it scares me, I keep thinking of the New York I see in the movies, you know, with bad guys and so on.

Yay for us, Greavsie! And Florida too, hey, you lucky sod. I read your fear of flying post - will they have to knock you out, like Mr T? "Ain't going in no damn fool airplane..."

Rad, it's heresy! Why not?!

Cream, however long it's never long enough. Though a friend's friend recruits English teachers for schools over there, hmmmm...

GG, don't let that put you off. Giuliani cleaned up the city, you know. There are bad guys everywhere, as you know, you just have to be careful like everywhere. It is so worth the trip.

Had a really really shit time there. Shit hotel. Shit food. Shit New Yorkers with shitty attitudes. All in all it was just a bit shit! :D

Oh Rad. What can I say. I'm staying with friends, so you see a different side of things. Hope you get to go there and have a better time, though maybe you'll never darken their doors again...

Yeah, to be fair to the place most of the people I know that have gone there have had a great time. I guess if you're with natives or are in the know then you're going to have a great time. We were a bit unlucky, but we won't be going back.
