I comment as myself, but lurk as someone completely different.

Do I count?

Annie said...

tsk, Del, not helping...

Rimshot - no, since you made yourself known - but you're still valued...

This is not going to work is it? Lurkers are shy. That's why they lurk.

It's more than that. If they make themselves known, they cease to be lurkers.

It's a philosophical paradox of brain-hurty proportions.

I'm not THAT shy!

Hello. I don't count myself as a lurker, but I do read more than I comment.

I'd say something, but you might remember me from when I used to comment...

I definitely don't count. Not as a lurker anyway.

Do I?

I'm a lurker. In fact, I blogged about you recently.

Lurkers won't come out with this blatant asking, you have to trick them...

I'm not a lurker but just popped by to say I hope week one isn't too much of a shock to the system. xx

Tim - ah. You spotted the flaw in my cunning plan.

Thursday - *waves* Bravo!

QE, you are no lurker.

Matt, you are no lurker. And of course you do count...

Hi, Timorous Beastie - ah, aren't you nice! Thank you!

Billy, but how??

Hey RoMo - thank you petal - hope son of RoMo is enjoying new class, or at least not hating it... The kids seem a bit shocked at being back and are being angelically good and lovely, I'm guessing it won't last past this week.

In other news, when I came home today I realised that the top I put on this morning was pretty much see-through and I was wearing it over a black bra, so possibly by tomorrow I won't have a job as a teacher any more.

Annie, I missed you - I know, sometimes I lurk too without commenting.

I think that is excellent behaviour and should be encouraged. I've got a see-through top on today with a dayglo green bra on underneath. A work colleague asked me if I was trying to be like Madonna? Oh ok, yes alright then c. 1984. Yes son of Romo awfully excited and went to bed with his new football boots and shinpads on!! I'm sure the reality will set in next week.

The Lurkers were a late 1970s English punk rock group from West London, notable for being the first group ever on Beggars Banquet Records.

Unlike most of their UK contemporaries, The Lurkers' influence lay far more with American punks The Ramones, than with British trailblazers The Sex Pistols and The Clash. Their heavily, and unabashedly derivative style, garnered them the affectionate tag of "The British Ramones".

I hope that clears things up for you Annie.

I lurk not because I am shy but because I have nothing to say, nothing to add, no wit, no what, no twit, no twoo.

See through tops will only get you fired if you don't wear a bra underneath them.

Which is a shame.

Yay for RoMo in her dayglo green bra!

Thanks, Istvanski, that helped a lot. I have never ever heard of the Lurkers (will go off to the Hype Machine pronto in search of them.)

Ah, Joe, I have no wit either, but I never let it stop me...
