Here is today's tip for you - Black Swan Green. He's an amazing writer.
(there, 3 years of Eng. Lit. to be able to write such pithy book reviews. He's an amazing writer. Pssh. But really, he is. Read it, read it, read it quick.)

People keep recommending David Mitchell to me. I'll really have to check him out.
Hi Michelle! You really must. The others are more spectacular story-telling but this one's very subtle. Wish I could write like that...
Never heard of him, but your review is compelling ;)
Viking, do I know how to sell it to you or what?
Heart of Darkness - "a page-turner"
War and Peace - "pretty good"
Etc etc.
It is. But it's R4.
WV: "prgdl". Welsh washing powder.
G, golden memories hey?
Hi Damian - good good! I've got Cloud Atlas lined up next. Book at Bedtime - I like Radio 4 but never have tried this, it sounds like my cup of tea. Does this officially make me an old lady? And how does one find a book club? Is it anything like 'The Book Group' on TV?
Tim - it is an endless source of amusement in our house that the Welsh digital TV channel is called Digidol.
Definately listen to it on Book At Bedtime (good old Radio 4!), complete with regional accents...
