Love at first sight

I found her in a comic book shop. She was in the window. I walked around inside for what seemed like hours and couldn't see her. (I'm always nervous to ask inside a comic book shop because I know nothing about comics, and scared that my choice will be laughed at, like going into some cool muso boutique-style record shop and asking if they have the latest Mariah Carey?) But he didn't laugh when I asked, and they only had the copy left in the window.

'Great cover' he said. Isn't it?

Greavsie With A One Track Mind... Ahem. I think you'll find she's dressed to fight crime and bad guys...

Fantastic Book! I recommend you get the trade paperback (graphic novel) collections. The Art isn't the same as that cover, but it's very easy on the eye and there's some intelligent storytelling too. They shouldn't cost more than a tenner a pop and any half-decent comic shop could order them in for you.

Oh good Rad, I trust your opinion - so not so much Mariah Carey, more Patti Smith?

Greavsie - tssh. Should think so too... (though I guess if one dresses in a PVC catsuit with a whip as accessory, one's vocation may be called into question...)

I picked up the previous issue cos of the cover, but probably for rather different reasons. Great comic.

And I've always found comic store assistants to be lovely, in comparison with record store people who are always bastards.

Deffo one of the cooler superhero books annie. Not really sure where your interests lie? But you could do a hell of a lot worse than Catwoman. :)

Like Del says, Comic book peeps are normally superb.
If you're ever in Narj again look up Abstract Sprocket they knock themselves out to get you what you want.

Del, I just looked at the cover of number 55, but it wasn't saucy like I was expecting - what other reasons hey? I guess you're right about the store assistants, my perception has probably been warped by Comic Book guy in the Simpsons.

Rad, I don't have any real preferences, I just like the pretty pictures. And I guess I like cool fighting women, like this one. Aah, Narj... I like the little stores, much more friendly generally than the big Forbidden Planet type superstores

Just dug out the Catwoman issue that took my fancy, and it was 51. Mug shot with cleavage. *sigh* Bad girls. Easily pleased. Most of my other comic choices are a bit less motivated by testosterone.
