I went too, purely on the strength of your recommendation (hooray for the power of the blogospork). It was very good, but also a bit scary and confusing, although I suspect that's supposed to be the point of art these days.
Ah, LC, I would have bought you a drink at Debbie's Diner if I'd known you were there, you got a free plastic monkey stirrer with your cocktail. Agreed on the scary and confusing art.
Yeah, I watched somebody throwing a custard pie at the clown. I love high-art.
The burlesque dancers were entertaining, in a wtf? kinda way.
I think my favourite thing was the Rent A Teenage Fanclub stand, where you could pay a gang of squealing girls to mob one of your friends for their autograph.

It sounds fun. But... "...for all-comers to engage with art in a totally informal way".
I get what they're aiming for, but I think people should at least iron their trousers before engaging with art.
Oh - I went last year - is it that time already - it was good people watching.
Tim - boooo!
RoMo - I liked watching the people - one day I will pluck up courage to photograph the people.

Did you see the clown? When I passed him, a small child was hitting him with a large truncheon, it looked painful. Very surreal.
This is a car boot sale? Now I'm very confused...
It was a Brick Lane style carboot sale Billy - not just full of cheap tat, but full of cheap arty tat.
