Stripper shoes

Since when did normal shoes in everyday shoeshops become stripper shoes?

(as seen in Top Shop.)

And that's in the male section too..

They'd suit the bass player of a medium-ranking glam-rock combo.

Well they've had fuck-me boots, so why not stripper shoes?

I'm all for shoes - being a shoeaholic and all but who started the stripper porn shoe thing? They are crap - unless you are a webcam queen..

Um. I wear Vans. Er. Ok, I'll level with you, I'm out of my depth here. I'm just gonna stop.

Porn shoes have been popular in stores in the States for a few years. I was hoping the primary colored, patent leather ones with wooden soles would go away but no....

Greavsie, right, you should see the poor bastards trying to walk in them.

Tim, yes front very glam rock, but for authenticity it would have to be a platform heel.

Billy, on Wikipedia it claims there was a study suggesting that high heels 'improve the tone of a woman's pelvic floor' which has a, ahem, knock-on effect apparently.

RoMo - exactly! It just struck me recently that shoes you'd once have to buy in specialist shops or send off for from dodgy American catalogues are now in high street shops. It seems to be part of a general pornification of society.

Del, I tend to wear trainers too - I'm of average height but if I wear heels I tower over most short-arse people and don't really like that Jolly Green Giantess sensation. Plus I could never walk in heels like these.

Arabella - we're taking the lead from the States, I knew it...

There's no clear heels in biology!

I love the phrase "pelvic floor". Makes it sound like a conference room or something.
