Tat

Wooden tat, as promised.

Just 3 short months ago it looked like this. Now look! I have a broken chair! And a 1950s table made from finest Formica!

Michelle Ogundehin is looking nervously over her shoulder...
Update - now with added Christmas tat. I gave in to a Christmas tree, bah humbug - you will observe that it is the smallest possible Christmas tree, in fact it is dwarfed by the presents.

Also, some hopeful mistletoe, which is disguising itself subtly by being in a vase, not dangling from the ceiling obviously in kissing airspace.

Nice. According to this month's Living etc you can ring the changes with your table by obtaining a glass top and putting nice wrapping paper or wallpaper under the glass, changing it as you feel like it.

I like that Christmas tree. :)

(Gives Annie a virtual kiss under the invisible mistletoe. Wonders if it might be inappropriate to pinch her digital bum.)

Just lob the vase up in the air above anyone you fancy. Even if you don't get to snog them in time, the vase will knock them out so you can drag them home. Score!

Where did the pink flowers go - are they not festive? Pink can be festive, no?

That's the sweetest tree in the world!!

I hear that the one we're going to be enjoying over at the boys house is around 10 foot and 800 lights..

You could try kissing under the table?

GSE - thanks. I have given up Living Etc & all the house magazines in a strop, as everything comes from B&B Italia and costs fifty billion pounds. Plus they feature people with enormous great houses with gardens (and no neighbours with barking hellhounds.) You can keep me informed of decorating trends.

Thanks, Billy. There was an internal struggle before it was finally bought.

Tim - aw, that's cheered me right up. Hurrah for mistletoe.

Del, right, that's how I like my men, easygoing to the point of unconsciousness.

They were berries, Boz, and kept dropping off and driving me mad.

Sar, I'm a bit anxious about the Christmas-crazy gay men.

I like it Marsha, it's been a while since I've done any kissing under tables.

Ooh, your flat looks very lovely and cosy. Glad to see some ambient lighting. I predict a big comeback for ambient lighting in 2009. What's the picture to the l-h side?

Annie said...

Thanks Patroclus. I like ambient lighting, though it's not very green of me - have also removed the long-lasting lightbulbs because they're too murky. The picture is a photo by Aenne Biermann (scroll along for the lady with the lipstick) that I've had since I was 17 - one day I will get around to putting all my pictures up on the wall.

yes - but you live right round the corner so you can leave whenever you want.
