A short poem *

Waiting in vain.
Waiting for you.
Counting the minutes.
Why must you make me wait?
You promise so much
And deliver so little
You make me wander from room to room
Sighing
Longing
Wanting

Without you in my life
There is no fire
No heat
No warmth
No hot water
British Gas Man.

*with apologies to Bob Marley

Adrian, how would it go?
Judge: And so you willfully set fire to your house, endangering the lives of hundreds of people.
Me: Yes, but I was cold and fed up waiting for British Gas.
Judge: Ah, in that case I understand completely. Case dismissed!

US, Rad, Viking - if it amused you, it was all worth it ;-)

He came. He needed a gadget, which was not in his van. He's coming back. On Thursday.

GG, we have an electric kettle, which is good, English people get very feisty when deprived of their tea :-) I see he likes his Bob Marley titles, his other book is called Satisfy My Soul.

Good, Nat - (I can't really write poetry!)
