I love the word "laundromat". And the word "washeteria".
If only I was actually fond of doing laundry...
Marsha, I know exactly what you mean. I love laundrettes (another good word - in the summer fair in Victoria Park, there's a group called the Laundrettas on a stall who serve cocktails) but not for any practical purpose.
