Raaaaaaah!

Was bitterly disappointed yesterday, (because when I walked into work, I thought it was Friday, and was smiling and happy til a colleague gently pointed out it was still Thursday.) But today is Friday! And tomorrow I'm off on my hols! Huzzah!

Gone here. Laters...

Have a brilliant time and do say hello to Emma, presuming you'll be seeing her, and Mr. Trajectory. Hopefully beers without tears.

Oooh - have a muy bien time won't you. See you when you are back xx

Thanks, my friends.

Things are not running smoothly thus far. I have put all my clothes in the washing machine in preparation for my holiday, but each time it goes into the spin cycle it trips the mains electricity circuit breaker. Clothes are therefore trapped in the washing machine.

Therefore I have a) no clothes and most crucially b) no underwear to take to Barcelona. What to do?

Buy some new ones.

Before tomorrow morning? Where?

Istvanski said...

Tesco's 24 hour megastore at Bromley By Bow.

Annie said...

Hmm, very near work... maybe I can get away with a fetching bikini & dressing gown combination til I get to the airport.

Istvanski said...

What, with those legs?

Only kidding. Isn't there a big 24 hour supermarket near you? Just buy any old tat for the plane journey and shop till you drop when you get to Barca!

How do you know about my Russian peasant's legs?

Your modesty has been exposed now that there's no curtain left for you to hide behind.

Yes!! Slammers is going to be mine, all mine!! I shall return her back to you safe and sound and fully paella'd and ceveza'd up. Sadly I saw this entry too late, Miss S. should fingers crossed be airbourne as I type, but rest assured her loyal blog pals - I have plenty of spare knickers for her, and the Catalans are very informal so bikini/dressing gown combo will go un-noticed.

With all those hot Catalan beatnik cafe lotharios about, surely you don't need underwear. "Eat tapas from my nether regions!" demands Annie, and a dozen men with too many accent marks on their names obey.

Oh boo! Too late to wish you "bon voyage!" Instead, hope you had a lovely time. Have just finished watching Andrew Graham-Dixon's series "The art of Spain" and so am very jealous.

Istvanski - I used to have a bit of that curtain you know, from back in the day when I was in Berlin. At least, I had a bit of brick with some paint on it...

Tim - oh I say! Covered in confusion, if nothing else.

Thanks Marsha - there was lots of art, but even better, lots of paella and vino.

Istvanski said...

Ha! Yes, my piece of brick with paint is in a little see through plastic box. I've also got laminated Berlin bookmarks with a bit of "Wall" attached to them.
I take it you went and got the Checkpoint Charlie 'official stamp' in your passport?
It's got to be done, hasn't it?

Is "Checkpoint Charlie" a good name for a fanzine? Sounds a bit dated perhaps, eh?

rockmother said...

Wasn't Checkpoint Charlie the title of a punk album/single or a band - somewhere in the distant molten haze of my memory there is a fragment telling me that.

Maybe if it was a fanzine about Cold War espionage? Or, like, 80s German techno or something.

Istvanski said...

OK then. I take it this won't be distributed amongst the workers in the Columbian cartels?
