Here is a picture of the 30s clock I bought from the fantastic Dog & Wardrobe in Broadway Market (a great shop with fabulous and quite surprisingly affordable stuff - Flickr site
here.)
I was trepidatious about it working (it's electric and the wiring ancient) but plugged it in and wound it as instructed. That was at 5.25, and as you can see the hands have definitely moved. Moved
backwards.

Maybe this means I will wake up tomorrow morning younger? Hmmm...
Is Crackerjack on in 12 minutes time?
pretty. and it keeps quirky time.
like.
Hang on - you plugged it in at 5.25, and posted at 5.36. The clock, meanwhile, has gone back to 5.07. Not only backwards, but too fast as well.
That's even more brilliant than my flock Chairman Mao piggy bank (RIP).
Although I'm sure the title reference is Cher, what I heard in my head was Aqua.
Geoff, Crackerjack! I'd forgotton all about it.
Rosie - cheers, my dear.
Tim, where did you get your Chairman Mao flock piggybank?
Aqua's tune is better Del, (though they didn't wear fishnet catsuits whilst straddling a cannon).
In a market in Bangkok. It was pink, with scarlet hair. But the cat knocked it over and it smashed. :-(
What has clearly happened is that someone has reversed the polarity, which as we all know is how all problems were solved back in the day.
